Lineage
The key principles of qigong are documented in the Huang Di Nei Ching (“The Medical Classic of the Yellow Emperor. For centuries the entire body of Dayan Qigong knowledge was honed and refined by one master who practiced alone in secret until the age of 70. Then they were allowed to select a trusted apprentice who demonstrated the right qualities of character, self-discipline, and dedication willing to accept the same destiny and carry on the tradition.
So it was in 1908, when Grandmaster Yang De Shan, the 26th lineage holder at the time, selected his 13-year-old granddaughter as his apprentice. Yang Mei Jun kept her lineage promises and devoted herself to the practice of Dayan Qigong and martial arts continuously for over 100 years. Her story is a tale of courage, supreme dedication, instincts, wise vision and service to humanity.
